During construction
- An annual average of 55 Net Additional Full Time Equivalent (FTE) jobs in the region inclusive of 40 jobs estimated for residents of North Yorkshire, including 25 in Harrogate, during the construction stage
- £3.7 million Gross Value Added (GVA) boost to the region’s economy annually. This equates to £23.9 million GVA during the construction period, of which, £20.6 million GVA in North Yorkshire, including £18 million in Harrogate
- It’s estimated that two apprenticeship roles could be supported from this development
Once complete
- Providing homes for at least 350 people in the labour force, with a total annual income of c.£11 million of those in employment – around £5.3 million in retail expenditure and approximately £2.7 million in leisure expenditure annually
- Combined expenditure of around £7.9 million could have the capacity to support approximately 85 retail and leisure-related employee jobs in the wider economy
- Approximately £1.1 million per annum Council Tax payments, equating to £10.5 million over the initial ten-year period
